Effective 3 November 2026. This policy covers Migraine Book (shown as "Migraine" on your Home Screen) on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, made by Wasiq Apps (OPC) Pvt Ltd, India.
In short: we don't collect your data. Migraine Book has no accounts to sign up for, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and we run no servers that receive your information. Your migraines live on your devices and in your own iCloud, and only the people you approve can see them. The username you choose, and what you post in the Community, are public so that others can find you and read it. The only time we hear from you is when you contact us.
Your migraines
The days you log a migraine, how many tablets you took, and when each day was last changed are stored on your device and synced through your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. The Apple Watch app syncs with iCloud directly. Widgets read the same data on your device and send it nowhere. We can't see this data. Apple stores it under the Apple Privacy Policy and your iCloud terms.
People you share with
When you approve someone's request, your migraines are shared with them through iCloud: every day you've logged and its tablets, with your username and name. If you let them log, they can also add, change and delete your days. They can't see your Community activity, your saved posts or your settings. You can change what someone can do, or stop sharing, at any time.
As with any iCloud sharing, Apple shows you and the people you share with each other's iCloud name, and where available the email address or phone number used with iCloud. Migraine Book keeps these on your devices only, to show people by the names in your Contacts if you allow it.
Public information
Some information is kept in Migraine Book's public iCloud database, so others using Migraine Book can see it:
- Your username, if you choose one, with the name you give with it, when you chose it, and the link people use to ask to see your migraines (left out while Let Others Find Me is off).
- Community posts and replies you write, when you wrote and last edited them, and the Helpful and Me too reactions you give, each linked to your username.
- Reports you make on posts and replies. Each records an anonymous iCloud identifier for you, so a person counts once; the app doesn't show who reported what. Reports are counted to hide posts until they're reviewed.
Your migraine days and tablets are never public. The posts you save are kept in your own iCloud's key-value storage, synced between your devices, and aren't shared with anyone.
Permissions
Contacts (optional): Migraine Book matches the people you share with to your contacts by email address or phone number, to show the names and photos you saved for them. This happens on your device, and nothing from Contacts is uploaded.
Siri and Shortcuts
Shortcuts run on your device and read or change your migraines there. Siri itself is provided by Apple and covered by Apple's privacy policy.
The old Migraine Book
If you used the earlier Migraine Book app, the new app reads the migraines it kept in your iCloud and copies them into your Migraine Book data, once. The old data is only read, never changed or sent anywhere else.
Purchases
Migraine Plus is handled by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. Migraine Book only asks the App Store whether you have Migraine Plus, and when your free week ends.
Contacting us
Email Support in Migraine Book's Settings opens a mail to us with technical details attached, so we can see what went wrong: the app and system version, device model, language, region and time zone, how many records are stored and waiting to sync, how sync is doing, and crash and hang reports that Apple's system gives the app. They never include your migraines' days, names, posts or replies. You can see the attachments, and remove them, before you send the mail. If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to reply and to fix problems, and delete it when it's no longer needed.
Deleting your data
You can delete any day you've logged, and any post or reply you've written, in the app. Delete Profile, on your username's screen in Settings, deletes your username and name, removes everyone who sees your migraines, and stops you seeing anyone's. To remove all of Migraine Book's data from iCloud, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then iCloud and Manage Account Storage, choose Migraine if it's listed, and delete its data. Deleting the app removes the data stored on that device.
Health information
Migraine Book keeps a record for you and your doctor. It doesn't give medical advice, and doesn't share your migraines with anyone you haven't approved, including us, advertisers or data brokers.
Children
Migraine Book doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
